Beneath the surface, the core layers include British fleece wool for moisture management, long-crimped Austrian horsetail for lasting loft, and a fine blend of Real Shetland Wool with cashmere to smooth transitions and moderate temperature without trapping heat. The upholstery core finishes with Real Shetland Wool and organic cotton for body and absorption, while the two layers of hand-nested vanadium steel calico pocket springs (3,296 in King) respond independently to weight and movement. A coir- and wool-border, reinforced by four rows of hand side-stitching, extends the usable sleep surface and maintains the profile over years of use. Each mattress is hand-tufted with woollen tufts and twine to compress the filling into a stable, consistent depth at every tuft point.
